Lisa Loucks-Christenson found a book, titled Don't Eat Bees! on Amazon, using a similar font, same inside page with a dog and bee (her book has two bees) and the words, like Lisa's "don't eat bees".

Lisa send the Big 5 publisher a cease and desist on 11/29/2021 to take down their book, remove the infringing illustration inside. Twice is not a coincidence. Lisa is prepared to bring a lawsuit against the publisher if they do not remove their book.

The Toads of Telemark are trying to help their creator Lisa Loucks-Christenson find answers to the Big 5 Publisher infringing on her book, Don't Eat Bees! On 11/29/2021 Lisa sent them a cease and desist to take their book down with the same title (part of her book series under her federally trademarked name Bow Wow Detectives®).

Valentine's Adventures Exhibit Opened:

Thank you to all of our customers who shopped local today, not only our store, but neighboring bookstores, businesses. You are appreciated more than you may ever know, and all of us need your support.

Today for Small Business Saturday we didn't run specials, we didn't offer whopping savings, we gave away some books, took money off others, and opened an exhibit of our most prized friend: Valentine our 13-year-old Chihuahua, our sweet lady that has been battling all year some health issues. As her primary caregiver, where ever I am, she'll be within a paw of my hands. I've included 18 - giclee prints of my original watercolors I created for each book. I've featured illustrations from four of the seven books, and will add or rotate these through the upcoming year. I hope you can feel and experience the joy in Valentine's hearts (all three of them, two on her back) as you view these illustrations.

Valentine, our thirteen-year-old Chihuahua had fun meeting so many of our guests today with her exhibit opening, Valentine's Adventures, a collection of some of my paintings from her upcoming books, Blustery Tuesday!, Museum Monday!, Stowaway Saturday! and Shipwreck Sunday!. The books will release in the spring, one adventure for every day of the week. 

We are sorry she had to take a nap at the end of the afternoon and missed so many of you that stopped by. She is always with me because of her health conditions so please stop by again. Check out the story books I wrote and illustrated as a tribute to my best friend. Here's a few images of us today:
