Lisa Loucks-Christenson Publishing, LLC Announces Edna Miller Anthology and Preview Project Under Beloved Wildlife Illustrated Classics™
Rochester, Minnesota — Lisa Loucks-Christenson Publishing, LLC is developing a new children’s picture book line under its imprint Beloved Wildlife Illustrated Classics™ honoring Edna Miller, the American author and illustrator best known for the beloved Mousekin series.
The project will include select hardcover reissues with remastered art, along with Gulliver, a previously unpublished story presented in original black-and-white sketches. The company is also preparing Edna Miller: Life, Work, and Legacy, an anthology planned to bring together Miller’s life story, photographs, notes, book covers, unpublished material, and other archival elements gathered to preserve and celebrate her work.
The anthology and remastering efforts have been in progress for the past couple of years. A contract was drawn up between Edna Miller’s family and Lisa Loucks-Christenson Publishing to support and perfect the upcoming newly remastered editions of select works by Miller. At this time, only a preview or glimpse of the material is being prepared for publication, and the full release of Gulliver has not been finalized.
“Getting Edna’s work back into the hands of readers matters to me,” said Lisa Loucks-Christenson. “I have deep respect for Edna’s books, and I wanted to help preserve what touched so many of us—so it can bring joy to generations ahead.”
At this time, no release dates, ebook editions, or other program formats are being announced. The new line will join other titles in the company’s wildlife collection and will be sold through Loucks Studios, Inc. retail stores.
