Lisa Loucks-Christenson Releases “Witness in the Dark” Prelude — Sets Stage for Full Performance
WHITEWATER FALLS, MN — January 3, 2026 — Award-winning author, artist, and composer Lisa Loucks-Christenson debuts “Witness in the Dark” Prelude — setting the stage for the full song she will perform in her forthcoming thriller The Other Dead Sister (Book 16: Wolves of Whitewater Falls).

Written, arranged, and produced by Loucks-Christenson, this atmospheric prelude captures the emotional depth and wolf lore of her Wolves of Whitewater Falls series. The full vocal performance by Lisa Loucks-Christenson releases later this year, expanding the haunting spoken-word and layered sound design into a cinematic experience.
Loucks-Christenson is reimagining her 16-book series as seasonal television adaptations — each book becoming a full season of standard-format television episodes personally adapted by the author. Audiobooks are under consideration, though Loucks-Christenson has dedicated all of 2026 to this multimedia expansion, including the Soul of a Cougar spin-off and Ghost Town Wolf Pack stories.
“The Wolves series was always meant for the screen,” Loucks-Christenson says. “Each episode will bring the wilderness, the wolves, and the human heart to life.”
Award-winning visual artist Loucks-Christenson (Don’t Eat Bees!) creates all Wolves of Whitewater Falls covers digitally, earning multiple cover design awards. In Search of Spirit Wolf (Episode One) and Wolf Eyes (Story Preview Edition) achieved #1 International Bestseller status on Amazon. The other books have not been released.
The “Witness in the Dark” full performance releases later this year with behind-the-scenes content and pre-order details for The Other Dead Sister (Book 16: Wolves of Whitewater Falls).
Prologue Teaser
Annie crouched in the moonlit clearing, breath fogging the December air. The black wolf watched from the fallen blue spruce, eyes like embers. Not aggressive. Protective. She’d felt it since her sister’s unexplained death five years back—the night the beast first appeared at the cabin’s edge.
“He knows,” she whispered to the dark. Whatever hunted her family, it was closing in.
Inspired by a real Thanksgiving night encounter — an intruder fleeing through Loucks-Christenson’s woods without a vehicle, his wolf-like stare piercing the cold.
